Namuna College of Fashion Technology (NCFT) was delighted to welcome Dr. Manoj Kumar Paras, Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna, India, on Monday, March 30, 2026.
During his visit, Dr. Paras conducted an engaging and thought-provoking session for students on Sustainable Fashion. Emphasizing the importance of responsible design and production, he shared valuable insights on waste management, delivering a powerful message: “Let’s create value out of waste.” His session inspired students to rethink sustainability and innovation within the fashion industry.
The visit also featured a productive meeting, engaging discussions, and a comprehensive campus tour, opening doors to potential future collaborations and ventures between the institutions.
Dr. Paras, who also serves as the Nodal Officer for NCFT at NIFT, had earlier graced the college’s 20th Graduation Fashion Show held on March 28, 2026.
He holds a PhD in Sustainable Management and Design for Textiles from the University of Borås, Sweden, and brings over 12 years of experience across both industry and academia, contributing deep expertise in sustainable practices.
His visit further strengthened the international academic collaboration between NCFT and NIFT, building upon the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on February 26, 2024. This continued partnership reflects a shared commitment to fostering academic excellence, creativity, and innovation in fashion education.
