Students of the 24th Batch (2nd Semester) of the Bachelor of Fashion Design and Management (BFDM) program at Namuna College of Fashion Technology participated in a practical handloom weaving session under the Textile Design and Fabric Manufacture subject.
The session provided students with valuable hands-on experience in the fabric-making process, allowing them to explore both the technical and creative dimensions of weaving. By engaging directly with the loom, students developed a deeper understanding of textile construction and the craftsmanship behind fabric production.
The practical was guided by Mr. Pradip Shrestha, an experienced loom operator from Lubhu, along with Dr. Chaitanya Raj Adhikari, faculty for the subject. Their guidance helped students connect theoretical learning with practical application, strengthening their industry knowledge and technical foundation.
Such experiential learning opportunities play a vital role in preparing future fashion professionals by building essential skills and a strong understanding of textile design and manufacturing.
