Having been involved in the field of fashion for more than a decade, Bishwo Gautam has established himself as one of the most celebrated Nepalese designers of recent times. He is the Founder and CEO of Bishwo Gautam (BG) and Designers Collection, two companies that provide employment to more than 500 people.
Bishwo is considered to be the 1st Nepalese fashion designer to showcase a full fledged solo fashion show, that was titled “Lead of Fusion” and was held in 2011. Recently he completed his Post Graduation in Apparel Industry Management from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, USA, which is one of the top fashion schools in the world.
His designs have been worn by international personalities such as Yukta Mookhey (Miss World 1999) and Corrine Tansley (Miss Australia in the Miss Model of the World 2006). He has designed the wardrobe collections of Shristi Shrestha (Miss Nepal 2012), Neelam Chand (Miss Global Nepal 2012) and Nagma Shrestha (Miss Earth Nepal 2012) for their official international participations in Miss World 2012, Miss Global International 2012 and Miss Earth 2012 pageants.
Other notable personalities who have worn or regularly wear his designs are Rekha Thapa (Nepalese moviestar), Malvika Subba (Miss Nepal 2002), Priyanka Karki (Nepalese moviestar), Usha Khadgi (Miss Nepal 2000), Pooja Sharma (Nepalese moviestar), Sadichha Shrestha (Miss Nepal 2010), Nisha Adhikari (Nepalese moviestar), Diya Maskey (Nepalese movie and theatre star), Zenisha Moktan (Miss Nepal 2009), Subekshya Thapa et cetera.
He has been the official designer for the Miss Nepal USA 2013 pageant held in USA and has also been the guest designer for Fashionmandu 2015 held in Australia. Most recently, he has also ventured into costume designing for high profile Nepalese movies starting with “Ma Yesto Geet Gaaunchu” which is slated for release in 2017.
