The Orientation Program for 2nd intake of our free training course on Pashmina Fashion Design and Technology was held at the college premises on March 15, 2017.

CEO of the college, Anil Kumar Upadhaya delivered the opening/welcome speech and informed the students and other attendees about the progress and outcomes of the 1st intake of the course that was successfully conducted by the college.

Vivekananda Mishra, member of NPIA as well as one of the syllabus makers of the course, briefed the students about the major highlights of the course and the revisions and upgrades to it. Chief Guest of the program and President of Nepal Pashmina Industries Association, Durga Bikram Thapa delivered the closing remarks and highlighted the scope and career prospects of the course and the expectations of the industry with students of the course.

Chiranjivi Kafle (General Secretary, NPIA), Alpana Shrestha (International Textile and Apparel Consultant) and Nishu Kandel (Faculty for the course) also shared a few words with the students. Jyoti Bajracharya (Project Coordinator, NCFT) delivered the vote of thanks to conclude the program after which classes of the 2nd intake of the course was conducted by Mr. Mishra.

Pashmina Fashion Design and Technology is a 3 months short term course that aims to develop and add value to the production and design of Nepalese Pashmina products as well as its promotion.

The course is being organized with support of the Pashmina Enhancement and Trade Support (PETS) project which is funded by the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) trust fund at the World Trade Organization (WTO). The project is implemented by the International Trade Center (ITC), Geneva in partnership with the Nepal Pashmina Industries Association (NPIA).
