Kidest Teklu, (Programme Management Officer, International Trade Center, Geneva) visited the college on February 13, 2017 to discuss pertinent issues related to the Pashmina Fashion Design and Techonology (PFDT) course that is being run by the college under the Pashmina Enhancement and Trade Support (PETS) project.

A meeting was held for discussions about the progress of the course, the ongoing industrial placement of students in Pashmina Industries, the commencement of the 2nd intake of the PFDT course, and other related matters.

Likewise, a further meeting to discuss and finalize some remaining issues related to the course was held on February 15 at Gayatri Pashmina where some students of the PFDT course are currently on an internship. Ms. Teklu also observed the work of the students interning there.

The Pashmina Fashion Design and Technology (PFDT) course aims to develop and add value to the production and design of Pashmina product as well as its promotion.

The course is being organized with support of the Pashmina Enhancement and Trade Support (PETS) project which is funded by Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) and executed by the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies, Nepal.

The project is being implemented by the International Trade Center (ITC) in partnership with the Nepal Pashmina Industries Association (NPIA) and with the college's support as part of the Pashmina Enhancement and Trade Support (PETS) project.
