Internship Workshop With Industry Stakeholders

An interactive workshop was organized by NCFT on April 10, 2019 at the college premises to disseminate information about the “Internship” course of the 7th semester under the Bachelors of Fashion Design and Management (BFDM) program to industry stakeholders.

Officials of various prestigious organizations and industry associations representing the Garment, Pashmina, Textile and other industries participated along with some NCFT faculty members, students of the 15th batch (5th semester) and officials of Alumni of Namuna College of Fashion Technology (ANCFT).

The workshop commenced with a welcome address to the distinguished attendees by Ms. Gyani Shova Tuladhar (Founder Principal, NCFT) followed by Mr. Jeebeswor Lal Shrestha (Vice Principal, NCFT)'s presentation of an overview of the courses under the Bachelor of Fashion Design and Management program with specific focus on the Internship course and the requirements for its successful completion.

Mr. Kiran Prakash Saakha (Member, P.U. Fashion Technology Subject Committee), Mr. Sarad Bickram Rana (Executive Director, Trade and Export Promotion Center), Mr. Durga Bikram Thapa (President, Nepal Pashmina Industries Association), Hon. Mr. Ram Bahadur Gurung (President, Nepal Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association), Ms. Reeta Simha (1st Vice President, Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal) and Mr. Amrit Khadka (President, Nepal Wool Felt Producers and Exporters Association) shared few words on the importance and relevance of the Internship program.

The participants also shared their feedback and suggestions for the effectiveness of the Internship program during the interaction session. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Jeebeswor Lal Shrestha (Vice Principal, NCFT) to all the distinguished participants.
